Here is Patricia accepting her EMMY for Medium in 2005. NBC has no valid reason for dropping that show, they just SUCK! And they will continue to get their axxes karmically kicked in the ratings, GOOD! frakkers.
Update 3: Here is the quote from that tool at NBC when he dropped Medium, so you can see just what a well deserved axx whoopin he got with these ratings (from our piece on that subject as linked below):
NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman had said Medium was “an aging franchise, without a single fan letter, with no passion” after the show’s cancellation.CBS TV Studios shot back in a statement: “NBC’s cancellation of Medium is inexplicable to us. The ratings don’t lie: Medium outperforms many of NBC’s renewed shows.”
Update 2: Medium kicked NBC’s axx! HA HA I SAY!! Good dumb frakkers at NBC. See our post on how those tools dropped Medium despite its great ratings here. Smallville did fine, essentially tying Dollhouse’s ratings (remember FOX is a major network and CW is a cable channel, VERRY different ratings expectations from their execs)
The season premiere of Medium on CBS won the hour with 8.78m, while Dateline NBC managed 5.82m for the Peacock. Encores of new comedies Modern Family and Cougar Town put in respective audiences of 4.28m and 4.18m for ABC, and on The CW, a rerun of America’s Next Top Model grabbed 1.17m.
The fifth season premiere of Ghost Whisperer won the 8pm hour for CBS with 8.58m, while the premiere of Law & Order delivered 6.29m for NBC. An encore of FlashForward took 4.55m for ABC, the series premiere of new Fox comedy Brothers had 2.82m, and the season premiere of Smallville appealed to just 2.5m on The CW.
…(Dollhouse) The opener, which guest-starred Jamie Bamber, pulled in just 2.57m for Fox in the 9pm hour….
SciFiWire has Dollhouse on Deathwatch after the Season 2 premiere scored its lowest ratings ever:
Joss Whedon’s sci-fi Dollhouse premiered Friday, and the news isn’t good: Overnight ratings were the worst in the show’s history. Translated: If you like it, you’d better watch it while you can.
The half-hour numbers for Dollhouse among adults 18-49 and 18-34, according to TV by the Numbers (rating/share, audience):
9-9:30 p.m.: 1.0, 1.0, 2.698 million
9:30-10 p.m.: 1.0, 1.0 2.427 millionSo how bad was it? Here’s a roundup of analysis:
“barely registered with live viewers” –TV Wrap
“The show’s lowest-ever audience last night” –Digital Spy
“Dollhouse went right back to where it left off: as the lowest-rated show on a major broadcast network” –The Live Feed
“The second season launch of Dollhouse actually [lost] viewers from Brothers, plummeting to its lowest ratings to date” –HitFix

Dollhouse has LOST the lead in viewers it was getting from TSCC. For the record we at MiM LOVE TSCC and raved and ranted and called and did Flickr promotions, call ins, write ins. The TSCC fans did a LOT more to keep it alive than Reilly at FOX the tool! ever acknowledged. FOX CHOSE THE WRONG SHOW!!
TSCC had INTERNATIONAL FANS! Film tie ins! AND it was CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED! Bear McCreary’s musical scoring was awesome on TSCC. Here is Josh Friedman’s goodbye to TSCC.
And Josh Friedman has KICK AXX storylines ret to go for S3. Dollhouse has none of that.
Now I was pretty pixxed when Joss commented on doing better with a better lead in than TSCC. How’s that working out for you Joss? Yeah exactly it isn’t. But I am a Joss fan so you know gotta let it go right? So we got a grip and moved forward with Joss and S2.
But now FOX will kill ANOTHER show with Summer Glau!!! Summer is joining Dollhouse later this season!
And Stargate Universe will premiere in a week opposite Dollhouse and THEN the ratings will REALLY drop, as any SciFi fan at home without a DVR will no doubt tune to SciFi.
Really bad bad bad choice by FOX. TSCC had it all goin on.

Below is the blog Newsmax doesn’t want you to see.
Sometime in late September 2009, John Perry, who blogs for Newsmax, wrote an article describing a possible military coup d’etat scenario in the United States. When “readers complained,” Newsmax removed Perry’s essay.
Newsmax writes on September 29 the following disclaimer:
In a blog posting to Newsmax, John Perry wrote about a coup scenario involving the U.S. military. He clearly stated that he was not advocating such a scenario but simply describing one.
After several reader complaints, Newsmax wanted to ensure that this article was not misinterpreted. It was removed a short time after being posted.
Newsmax strongly believes in the principles of Constitutional government and would never advocate or insinuate any suggestion of an activity that would undermine our democracy or democratic institutions.
Mr. Perry served as a political appointee in the Carter administration in HUD and FEMA. He has no official relationship with Newsmax other than as an unpaid blogger.
Here’s Perry’s original essay!

Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention
By: John L. Perry
There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.
America isn’t the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn’t mean it won’t. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:
Officers swear to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Unlike enlisted personnel, they do not swear to “obey the orders of the president of the United States.”
- Top military officers can see the Constitution they are sworn to defend being trampled as American institutions and enterprises arenationalized.
- They can see that Americans are increasingly alarmed that this nation, under President Barack Obama, may not even be recognizable as America by the 2012 election, in which he will surely seek continuation in office.
- They can see that the economy — ravaged by deficits, taxes, unemployment, and impending inflation — is financially reliant onforeign lender governments.
- They can see this president waging undeclared war on the intelligence community, without whose rigorous and independent functions the armed services are rendered blind in an ever-more hostile world overseas and at home.
- They can see the dismantling of defenses against missiles targeted at this nation by avowed enemies, even as America’s troop strength is allowed to sag.
- They can see the horror of major warfare erupting simultaneously intwo, and possibly three, far-flung theaters before America can react in time.
- They can see the nation’s safety and their own military establishments and honor placed in jeopardy as never before.
So, if you are one of those observant military professionals, what do you do?
Wait until this president bungles into losing the war in Afghanistan, and Pakistan’s arsenal of nuclear bombs falls into the hands of militant Islam?
Wait until Israel is forced to launch air strikes on Iran’s nuclear-bomb plants, and the Middle East explodes, destabilizing or subjugating the Free World?
What happens if the generals Obama sent to win the Afghan war are told by this president (who now says, “I’m not interested in victory”) that they will be denied troops they must have to win? Do they follow orders they cannot carry out, consistent with their oath of duty? Do they resign en masse?
Or do they soldier on, hoping the 2010 congressional elections will reverse the situation? Do they dare gamble the national survival on such political whims?
Anyone who imagines that those thoughts are not weighing heavily on the intellect and conscience of America’s military leadership is lost in a fool’s fog.
Will the day come when patriotic general and flag officers sit down with the president, or with those who control him, and work out the national equivalent of a “family intervention,” with some form of limited, shared responsibility?
Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars. Having bonded with his twin teleprompters, the president would be detailed for ceremonial speech-making.
Military intervention is what Obama’s exponentially accelerating agenda for “fundamental change” toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama’s radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible.
Unthinkable? Then think up an alternative, non-violent solution to the Obama problem. Just don’t shrug and say, “We can always worry about that later.”
In the 2008 election, that was the wistful, self-indulgent, indifferent reliance on abnegation of personal responsibility that has sunk the nation into this morass.

Hey Everyone,
Well, we’re a week from the beginning of season 8, and today we are profiling one of the most controversial pairs that the show has this year. It doesn’t have anything to do with either of the team members separately, but many long time fans of the show are up in arms over this real life couple being paired together on the dance floor. What do you think? Is it a distinct advantage, or will it split them up in the long run? Feel free to weigh in with your opinion in our comments section. Without further ado, here is a look at Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough. Remember to get your dance fix this week at Ballroom Dance Channel

Chuck Wicks is a country singer who came onto the scene with his smash single Stealing Cinderella. He got his start writing songs and working with people on Music Row. He credits them for giving him his start, saying that without them, he would not be where he is today.
DID YOU KNOW?
•Signed on with RCA
•Once wanted to be a professional baseball player
•Took him several years to get his big break, but he was willing to work hard to get there.
•Girlfriend is DWTS pro Julianne Hough
•Parked cars for a living while trying to break into the music business
Julianne Hough was born July 20, 1988 to a family of dancers. She began training with Josh Murillo in Latin Ballroom and was competing by the time she was nine years old. A year later, she moved to London with her brother Derek to train with ballroom legends Corky and Shirley Ballas. She was enrolled in the Italia Conti Academy and trained in music, theatre, dance and gymnastics.
DID YOU KNOW?
•Julianne was in a band with Derek and Mark Ballas called 2B1G (2 Boys 1 Girl)
•She was a dancer on Show Me The Money, a game show hosted by William Shatner
•Won season four of DWTS with Olympic skater Apolo Anton Ohno
•Won season five of DWTS with racecar driver Helio Castroneves
•Placed ninth with comedian Adam Carolla in season six of DWTS
•Placed fourth in season seven of DWTS with Cody Linley—although she was replaced for two weeks by Edyta Sliwinska. (She underwent surgery)
•Posed for TV Guide, Shape and Maxim
•Is also a country music singer
My story in The American magazine is now up on its website. Here’s the lede: “Thirty years ago this October, the era of affordable mass air travel was unleashed. Why was this revolution stalled, and what can be done to finish it?”
Republican Dede Scozzafava has officially suspended her bid in next Tuesday’s NY 23 special election. Her statement reads as follows:
Dear Friends and Supporters:
Throughout the course of my campaign for Congress, I have made the people of the 23rd District and the issues that affect them the focal point of my campaign. As a life long resident of this District, I care deeply and passionately about its people and our way of life. Whether as a candidate for Congress, a State Assemblywoman or a small town Mayor, I have always sought to act with the best interest of our District and its residents in mind—and today I again seek to act for the good of our community.
The opportunity to run as the Republican and Independence Party candidate to represent the 23rd District has been and remains one of the greatest honors of my life. During the past several months, as I’ve traveled the district, meeting and talking with voters about the issues that matter most to them, I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of support I’ve received as I sought to serve as their voice in Washington. However, as Winston Churchill once said, Democracy can be a fickle employer, and the road to public office is not always a smooth one.
In recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be. The reality that I’ve come to accept is that in today’s political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money—and as I’ve been outspent on both sides, I’ve been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record. But as I’ve said from the start of this campaign, this election is not about me, it’s about the people of this District. And, as always, today I will do what I believe serves their interests best.
It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my Party will emerge stronger and our District and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.
On Election Day my name will appear on the ballot, but victory is unlikely. To those who support me – and to those who choose not to – I offer my sincerest thanks.

Press Release from the JISC Collections Archive (note the brief but helpful – not to mention accessible – textual synopses of the posted videos):

From Gorbachev to global warming: education experts choose images for JISC
Collections archive
Education experts have taken the first steps towards building a JISC
Collections archive containing over 500 hours of film and 56,000 photos
documenting modern history.
An expert panel consisting of e-learning advisors, librarians, academics and
image specialists, who collectively represent over a hundred years of
experience of working with digital images in education, have chosen 11
collections from ten suppliers to form an archive for students and academics
which will be available from next July.
Following £2.5 million in funding from JISC and a competitive procurement
process, JISC Collections has licensed the collections for at least 25 years
as part of the Digital Images for Education initiative
(www.imagesforeducation.org.uk).
The images are copyright-cleared for use in education so they can be
reproduced in course packs, virtual learning environments, e-portfolios and
other multimedia works.
The selected images bring to life our shared history from a local, UK and
international perspectives to support teaching and lifelong learning.
Film clips will be available – from Gorbachev’s accession to power in the
Soviet Union in 1985 to the financial crisis of 2009, and including powerful
raw footage of the 9/11 attacks as well as coverage of key issues such as
deforestation and global warming.
Photographs range from nineteenth-century life in the Scottish Highlands to
contemporary youth culture.
Noel Williams, professor of communication at Sheffield Hallam University,
commented: “JISC has created what is pretty much a unique resource, exciting
in its scope and potential. It touches on the interests of a wide range of
subject areas, and contains images which will be of value to both teachers
and researchers, and useful in all educational contexts – from colleges
through to the highest levels of HE.”
The collection will include materials from academic and not-for-profit
organisations such as the Royal Geographic Society and the University of
Brighton, alongside commercial agencies such as Associated Press, ITN Source
and Getty Images.
Lorraine Estelle, CEO of JISC Collections, says: “The new images purchased
as part of the Digital Images for Education initiative bring to life our
history and capture, in particular, the key events of the past 25 years –
from the death of Princess Diana to the election of Barack Obama.
“The images will complement our existing and highly popular collections –
Newsfilm Online, Film and Sound Online and the Education Image Gallery – to
provide the UK education community with a world class library of still and
moving images covering the last 150 years.”
Between now and February 2010, around a terabyte of data will be delivered
each month from the content suppliers, which converted to paper would mean
the use of 500,000 trees.
Each of the images has to be checked for quality, and extensive metadata
tagging is required to optimise searching and browsing facilities. New
features will also be built into the destination collections to ensure the
tags are helpful for both curators and users of the archive.
If the calendar said December 25th today, I would be secretly hoping to unwrap some of the following:
